Guinea Fowl’s Natural World

Using black pen the Grade 4’s are observing and drawing with one line the natural parts of our school.  Some really beautiful drawings have come from one line drawings.

Today they began putting the colour ink into their works.  They have struggled to learn how to use water to lighten the richness of the ink colours.  Some are making real progress here.

We are focusing on line, observation skills, colour blending and proportion.  Next week we are cutting gold paper to highlight areas in the picture. This can really liven up the art and turn it into something magical.

Enjoy the photos of the Guinea Fowls working in class!

Below are their beautiful one line drawings before they were filled with ink.
