Our Monochromatic Rose Windows

The Grade 6’s are learning about monochromatic colours.  They are using these colours to create a design for a rose window.

Rose windows were used in the big cathedrals as decoration. They were big and brilliant when the sun shone through them.

The chalk that the Grade 6’s use to outline their artwork will absorb the ink we put over in the end and will act as the lead holding the beautiful colours together.

I can’t wait to see these artworks completed!
