Shell Project – A Fun Brain Exercise!

Being the first week back I wanted a quick one lesson exercise that would stretch the children’s imagination and be fun for all of us.  The technology teacher has beautiful pictures up on her board where an artist has used various everyday life objects and made them symbolise different things in his sketches.  He did not however use shells.  So we, having plenty of shells, created pictures using them as substitutes for other things in the art.  It reminds me very much of a drama exercise where a box of props can be turned into anything.  A game of improvisation and such fun!

The children used their iPads to photograph their artworks and then used Pic Collage to create a collection of their art pieces.  The collage was then e-mailed to me and now I can share them with you. Enjoy!
